Thank you for visiting the newly designed website of Local 17. It is our goal to bring you more information and resources online.
Our local protects over 3,000 men and women in the states of Colorado and Wyoming and has one of the highest voter turnout percentages in the western division of Teamsters.
Three of our Executive Board members serve on contract negotiating committees at the highest level for the UPS National Agreement and the National Master Freight Agreement.
Teamsters Local 17 continues a long tradition of representing the working men and women of Colorado and Wyoming with strong contracts and the ability to enforce them.
Teamsters Local 17 first received a charter from the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (I.B.T.) in 1943.
We represent members at companies such as United Parcel Service, Yellow Freight Systems, Roadway Express, Arkansas Best Freight (ABF), Acme Warehouse and the employees of the City & County of Denver.
Our jurisdiction covers an area over 200,000 square miles that includes all of Colorado and Wyoming. Our operating area is smaller only to Alaska.
Our members work in crafts ranging from public workers for the City of Denver to truck drivers to movie support teams.
